Endoscopic Transcavernous View of Posterior Clinoid Process

Surgical Correlation

Interdural transcavernous approach to the upper clivus. In order to better access the posterior clinoid, the right IHA has been transected. This allows further mobilization of the pituitary gland medially and superiorly, and facilitates dissection of the posterior clinoid from the interclinoid ligament. (Image courtesy of JC Fernandez-Miranda)
