Clinical Fellowship, Clinical Observership, Visiting Scholar
CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP
The one-year CAST-accredited surgical fellowship in
- Complex intracranial oncology (skull base: open and endoscopic procedures) and
- Vascular (aneurysms, AVMs and revascularization procedures)
provides the applicant with a well-rounded experience in managing complex cranial pathologies. The caseload includes approximately 350 operative cases/year. There is also exposure to radiosurgery (Novalis, Cyberknife, and Gamma Knife.)
The work environment is highly collegial with the applicant functioning as an attending surgeon. Numerous opportunities for academic growth and mentorship are available. The applicant spends most of his or her time at the Keck Hospital of University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Completion of an approved neurosurgery residency program is preferred.
We are unfortunately unable to accept ECFMG’s or any other form of foreign graduate certificate. However, research fellowships (clinical and anatomical research) along with operating room observership are available to the applicants who can secure their own funding.
