Surgical Correlation

The sphenoid and ethmoid bones. The perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone articulates with the sphenoid crest and forms the osseus part of the nasal septum. The crista galli is continuous with the nasal septum. The ethmoid bone also forms the middle turbinate, bulla ethmoidalis, and lamina papyracea. (Image courtesy of JC Fernandez-Miranda)
