Medial view of the Deep Cerebral Veins. The internal cerebral veins are located inferior to the fornix and superior to the thalamus. The internal cerebral veins and the basal veins of Rosenthal  drain posteriorly into the cerebral vein of Galen. The straight sinus is located within the leaflets of the tentorium cerebelli and receives drainage from the cerebral vein of Galen.  Branches of the SCA are visible on the superior surface of the cerebellum.
