Superior Perspective of Cerebellomesencephalic Fissure, Midbrain, and Cerebellum. The quadrangular lobules (anterior segment) of the cerebellar hemispheres are demonstrated bilaterally. The vermian lobules that are visible in this image are the central lobule and culmen. The lingula is located anterior to the central lobule but is relatively small and hidden from view in this image. Note the close proximity of the rostral vermis to the inferior colliculus. A double superior cerebellar artery, a common anatomical variant, is seen on the right side of the image (Image courtesy of AL Rhoton, Jr.)
