The bony lateral semicircular canal and loops of wire representing the membranous superior and posterior semicircular canals are visible along with the tympanic and mastoid segments of the facial nerve. The chorda tympani branch (not labeled) can be seen arching forward from its origin along the posterior wall of the middle ear cavity.
