Lateral Perspective of Cerebellum. The image is oriented such that superior is to the left and anterior is towards the bottom. The close proximity of the vestibulocochlear and facial nerve to the foramen of Luschka is demonstrated. The anterior lobe of the cerebellum is separated from the posterior lobe by the primary fissure. The superior posterior fissure separates the quadrangular lobule (posterior segment) and the superior semilunar lobule. (Image courtesy of AL Rhoton, Jr.)
