Insular Region Demonstrated via a Sylvian Dissection. The anterior and middle cranial fossa are visible with the cerebrum elevated rostrally. The frontal, parietal, and temporal operculum have been retracted to demonstrate the M2 and M3 branches of the MCA coursing within the Sylvian fissure.
