Endoscopic perspective of frontal crest and foramen cecum. The frontal crest of the frontal bone limits the foramen cecum anteriorly. This foramen may transmit an emissary vein from the nose to the superior sagittal sinus. The flat surface of dura located just posterior to the foramen cecum tissue is the ideal location for the anterior dural cut in the endonasal anterior craniofacial resection procedure.
